The Plan

As our up coming trip approaches we are excited to get on the road.
Here is our basic itinerary. Entering Canada at Port Huron continuing on through Ontario, Québec, turn right at New Brunswick and over to Nova Scotia.

We don't have a minute by minute plan for what we want to see and do, but we do have a number of things in mind.
The plan is to be flexible by staying in three different places. Each place has much to offer and are close to many of the places we want to visit.


Base Camp 1 four nights at Cheticamp Campground (Parks Canada) on the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island.
Base Camp 2 three nights at the Ovens Camp Ground near Lunenburg. This is a private camp ground owned by the family of  the singer Harry Chapin.
Base Camp 3 three nights at a private campground near Digby along the Bay of Fundy.

20 Days and Counting

In a little less a month Janet and I, along with  our friends Wendy and Paul Davison  will be heading to the Canadian Maritimes for a two week visit to Nova Scotia.

 This is a trip Janet and I had planned to take in 2008 for our 30th Anniversary, but some things came up as things tend to do, but now we are finally going to make the trip.

 We decided to share some thoughts, experiences and pictures on our journey with anyone interested.
The hope is to post every day or so, but we will see.
